A loss to the Vineyard Sound Family

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of VS97 alumnus, Keith Broughton. Fondly referred to as “Boof”, Keith left an indelible imprint on VS97 – from Lobster Newburgh to the Boof and Tuni Sandwich. From brilliant sand sculptures to his touching rendition of “My Girl”. He embraced the summer, the island, and the Vineyard Sound.

With only nine members that summer, Keith’s impact was larger than most. The entire VS family mourns his loss and sends our heartfelt condolences to his beautiful wife and kids. For more info, or to donate to his memorial fund, visit this link.
