Bio

Steven Uy is currently a student at University of Michigan studying Computer Science Engineering. He has lived in Singapore, Philippines, and is from Northbrook, Illinois. When not programming he is often playing video games, tennis, and lots of ultimate frisbee. This upcoming summer will be Steven’s first time on the vineyard and is more excited than ever!

John Depalma

Bio

This will be John’s second summer on the island and he will have graduated from the University of Connecticut. He is a percussion major with a degree in music education. He enjoys watching The Golden Girls, driving buses, and outdoor showers. His favorite sport is baseball and has been playing since he was 4 years old. He hopes to get enough time to ride some waves on South Beach, and work on his bronze tan.

Bio

Spencer grew up in a small farming town in northern Massachusetts. He enjoys the simple things: music, good food, good company, and picture books. He’s been studying the saxophone since 4th grade, and he is heavily involved with the music scene at his alma mater, Wesleyan. Spencer also rows boats, gives tours to prospective Wesleyanites, and enjoys the occasional back massage. This is Spencer’s second summer out on the vineyard, and he’s very excited to live in a town that has more people than cows!

Ben grew up in Northbrook, IL, and currently studies at Wesleyan University. He has been singing since he can remember, and launched his career with classics such as “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” sung from his crib. Garth spent his formative years (which according to several online dictionaries, aren’t quite over…) in Laurel, Maryland. This will be his second summer in The Vineyard Sound. In his free time, Garth enjoys not actually having very much free time–that is, he busies himself with the production of his web-series “WANNABES,” playing in Wesleyan’s orchestra, and singing in two different soul/funk bands. On occasion, he completes his schoolwork.

Bio

Jon is a rising senior as Skidmore College, studying fine arts and sociology. He grew up in Lexington, MA, scooping ice cream, staying up late, and wreaking havoc in the suburbs mostly. At school he enjoys being a part of the Skidmore sketchy comedy group, and of course, the Skidmore Bandersnatchers, all-male a cappella. Some side projects and interests of his currently include the launch of a new indie-rock band, limiting his use of plastic water bottles, finding ironic t-shirts at the salvation army, and gaining weight.
