With the exception of one concert at the Tabernacle, MV spent the summer of ’98 without the Vineyard Sound. As June of ’99 rolled around, the group reinvented itself with 9 new members and two guys from VS97 (Erik Grimaldi and Sam Bigelow). V:1999 reflects a successful re-birth for the group and includes the first recordings of “Insomniac,” “As,” and “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” It was recorded live at the Old Whaling Church on August 22, 1999.
